Seeking 5 cast members for an NJ-based tour of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised]. ALL ages, genders and ethnicities are invited to audition. 


The Host: (Any gender, any ethnicity) the master of ceremonies. A Shakespeare enthusiast whose good intentions are surely paving their road to hell. Friendly, honest and focused

The Scholar: (Any gender, any ethnicity) A Shakespeare snob intent on impressing the audience with his knowledge and importance. Hides a dark secret. Knowledge of current soap opera plots a plus.

The Fool: (Any gender, any ethnicity) The youngest member of the group and undoubtedly the dumbest. Attacks everything with great enthusiasm and a hint of ADHD tendencies. Experience with Shakespearian text a plus.

Swing 1: will learn the host and the scholar and be available for performance of either. 

Swing 2: will learn the host and the fool and be available for performance of either. 

Talent should be local to the NYC/NJ area and have reliable transportation. Tour will rehearse for two weeks in June and appear around northern and central NJ for 3 weeks following, into early July. Dates pending. Pay $150 for rehearsals and 10% of tickets sales for each event.

All actors must have improv or immersive theater experience, be comfortable with interactive performance, and be able to sustain high-energy movement for long periods of time. Actors selected must be fully vaccinated against COVID by the beginning of the rehearsal period.

To submit, please send a 2-minute self tape of a comedic monologue or humorous story from your own life to  Youtube links preferred to files. videos must be received by MARCH 20th.

We are constantly casting future shows and we want YOU! Please submit your reel at anytime to, or feel free to send us up to 2 minutes of a song or scene that you love. Don't worry about our season, just show us who you are. We keep a detailed casting file and even if you're not perfect for the immediate future, we'll be circling back soon for someone just like you! We eagerly encourage artists of diverse backgrounds and who are "differently-abled" to apply.

 As per our bylaws, audio book narrators will comprise at least 50% of the cast when at all possible. If you are a narrator and would like to enter a short audio demo as part of your submission, please feel free. This theater is YOUR SPACE, narrators!
